To say we got to experience all four seasons in one weekend is an understatement – we had the scorching heat of summer, the coolness of autumn, torrential downpour of winter and the crispness of Spring and that was all in one day on Friday and on Saturday.
But – never mind the weather and several roadblocks on the way, as long as we’re together, we had the most amazing weekend once again as only CCSA Boland Region can!
The only formalities, if you wish to join, is our Sunday morning “Chairman’s Meeting” where we get together reminiscing the weekend. Campers nomination others who have for instance, left their teeth at home, forgotten their underwear/chronic medication and other funny mishaps during the weekend and yes, this really happens!
The lady campers provide some lovely snacks, and we usually do a raffle. We also have a charity collection for a well deserving cause and these collections are handed over once an annum to the grateful charity.
Silwerstrand is an absolute gem of a campsite with lush green grass underfoot allowing campers to do some healthy grounding. The swimming pool was a welcome reprieve from the harsh summer conditions and the atmosphere at the park is one of peace, joy and happiness.
Thank you to the management and staff for allowing us to use the hall and for your hospitality – we will definitely be back!
