Snoektown 2011
was held on the weekend of 09, 10 & 11 September 2011 at Ou Skip,
Melkbos Strand on the Wes Coast, this year.
Tygerberg Region was hosting
this prestige rally this year. This year a total of 160 caravans attended
the Snoektown Rally. There were one visitor from up north, 57 caravans
from Tygerberg Region, 38 from Cape Western Region, 27 from Good Hope Region and
10 caravans from Tafelbaai Region. It is sad to say that we did not have
any of Boland Region's members attending the Snoektown this year.
A great thank to our sponsors that did not hold
back in the support of the CCSA Western Cape
with this great event!! Die Burger, Die Tygerburger,
Olofbergh Brandy and Damhuis Restaurant were the main sponsors for
the weekend. A total of 28 stalls took part and making there contribution
to the success of the Snoektown Rally.
Great names on the entertainment joined our
Snoektown Rally and added their special musical touch to the weekend.
Pierre Luiters, better knows as the 'Weskusklong, was the master of
ceremonies for the weekend. Artists that joined him om the stage were
Carlo de Goede, Jan Visser, Louisa Fourie, Luna Paige
and Zandré Delport. The stage was also shared by the great story
teller Arno van Zyl and the comedian Pietman Geldenhuys (alias
Peter Mitchell).
Snoektown 2011 was once again a great success this
year. Thanks you to Tygerberg Region and
all our CCSA
Members that supported Snoektown to make it such a successful event.
