200^th Rally in a Row !!!

Hardie & Roline Visser

Hardi is born a camper and has been camping since 1968  with his parents, 3 bothers and a sister at Santos Caravan Park in Mosselbay during the December holidays.  Hardi and his siblings now all own their own caravans and they are all members of the CCSA Tygerberg Region.

In 1994 Hardi and his wife, Roline, decided to join the CCSA Tygerberg Region.  They went to Yzerfontein in February 1994 as guest of Deon and Sharon de Jager.

They immediately fell in love with caravanning as visitors of the CCSA and decided to become official members! Their very first rally as members of CCSA Tygerberg, was in March 1994, when “Snoektown” was held in Tulbagh.

Since that weekend they have never missed a rally!!!  They will be rallying their 200^th rally in a row with CCSA Tygerberg Region at the Xmas rally to be held at Mountain Breeze on the 28^th November 2008.

They have reached quite a number of milestones during their 200 rallies and they are:

•     200 Rallies were rallied over a period of 14 years and 9 months

•     15 Guests were introduced of which 12 have joined the caravan club

•     Won 2 President Awards for having more than 10 guests joining the caravan club

•     Won the Wolsley Jacobson's Award for belonging to the club for at least 12 years and attended a minimum of 100 rallies

•     Were awarded the "Caravaner of the Year" twice

•     Attended 7 caravan tours with the club, including Rally SA that was held in Bloemfontein in 1996

•     Were tour leaders for two caravan tours

•     Were Rally Marshals at ±15 rallies of which at least 5 rallies were mystery rallies that has been arranged by Hardi & Roline

•     And needless to mention the number of fines which came to a round figure of ±90 fines ... Hardi, can we believe this???

Hardi and Roline are still as enthusiastic about caravanning, |even more so after 200 rallies in a row!!!
